About us
Our group’s mission is to help growers connect, learn and network from localised research, development, extension and importantly one another.
The Merredin & Districts Farm Improvement Group was formed in 2013 by a group of local growers wanting to attract more research, development and engagement to the Eastern Wheatbelt. MADFIG became an Incorporated Association on March 17th, 2015, and since that time has been highly successful in attracting and implementing a range of research projects and on-farm trials and demonstrations.
MADFIG aims to provide a forum for farm businesses from the Merredin Shire and surrounding districts. Farmers can share and learn from each other’s experiences & ideas in order to improve the sustainability and profitability of their members farm businesses and communities. We host or provide direction and input into relevant and strategic research trials, demonstrations and programs that directly address key agricultural issues identified by grower members. We work collaboratively and partner with other like-minded groups, organisations and individuals to further the objects of MADFIG Inc. and promote the agriculture industry.
