GGA has officially launched the 2025 Grain Legume Crop Competition ‘Crop-etition’
The competition aims to highlight the potential of grain legumes in Western Australia by showcasing top-performing growers and encouraging knowledge-sharing across regions. With a wide range of agronomic practices influencing yields and varying levels of grower confidence in pulse crops, this competition offers an opportunity to explore what’s possible and learn from each other’s success.
The initiative also celebrates the great work being done across the state as part of the Closing the Economic Yield Gap of Grain Legumes in WA project which MADFIG has been participating with since 2022 in partnership with WANTFA.
A $2000 Crown Towers gift voucher will be awarded to the highest-yielding crop in each of the following categories: lupins, lentils, chickpeas, faba beans, and field peas.
