Managing Matricaria

Project duration:
2024-2025
In collaboration with:
Living Farm
Funded by:
Grains Research and Development Corporation West
Project Description:

Demonstrating Effective Management of Matricaria Species in the Low and Medium Rainfall Zones of WA

MADFIG, in collaboration with Living Farm, was involved in a Grains Research and Development Corporation West project investigating the control options for Matricaria species in the low and medium rainfall zones of WA.

The project aimed to provide growers and advisors in the Eastern Wheatbelt region with options for managing Matricaria populations. Growers participated in this trial research, giving them access to prospective management alternatives to help inform future decisions around limiting Matricaria populations.

MADFIG would like to thank the local growers who provided assistance throughout the development and trial phases of the project.

A research update was presented at the MADFIG Annual Spring Field Day in September 2025.
